Rising

by Glenn Currier

Almost crippled by its corpulence,
the boar lumbers headlong
into the dark gray waters
sinking slowly into the depths.

In her gleaming white gown
the maiden rises slowly
from her bed
and disappears in the distance.

Two knights swag
tired from their fight
swords sagging and fusing
their soft edges into the plain.

Halting these sweet moments
of lazy reverie
a plane streaks straight through
the blue donut hole in the clouds.

Easily standing as a poem on its own, each stanza brings a definite rise Glenn in this fellow traveller's psyche. Good to read you again old friend. :)
