Silente

by Maria Massarella

How light it feels
when the inner sun breaks through temporary clouds.

While sipping drops of morning sun
tiny allegre beings of angelic light parade their sparkling gaiety.

Pure their dance of light. Elated their song.
Hear it in the heart.

I Feel it flow through me. Touch its lightness in all my being
in my fingertips.

Meraviglioso the feel as inner lightflow merges with the outer
I know not where the you begins or the me ends.

When you awaken me I awaken to you and in splendour
your silentsong blankets my bed with divineness.

No words however beautiful the sound or the colour could
compare to the silent wordless prayer of listening.

How beautiful this path of light
where I am as my God intended ... no more no less.

Would that all days begin with such deliberation A sense of the divine awakening all other senses to exhileration!

Have you any idea how difficult it is to comment on a poem who's title commandeers the tongue? Especially with a poem as delicate as the one breaking through the portal of your being. It took me the better part of six days. Shhhhhhhh!

Ditto JD, I have just lived and breathed this one all week. It is the essence of beauty and poetry. smh

You remind me, even in snippets, why Italian is the most beautiful of languages..I am speechless. Silent, you might say, in awe.

This poem is full of spiritual light, like the spring sun shinng through an afternoon window. I especially like these lines: Meraviglioso the feel as inner lightflow merges with the outer I know not where the you begins or the me ends. Graze Maria. :o)

it's been awhile since I've read you (or any other poems for that matter), as I have been so preoccupied with life, but your words...they still leave goosebumps! <3

Tender is the light born from an open heart and laid out gently for our eyes to feast and our ears to tingle. Beautiful.
