ahead by Mary Frances Spencerfreeway sign
blinking detour
golden arrow pointing
left
i drive on
cant exit
life
unpredictable
hands gripping
cant see
beyond
the obvious
directive
so flow
breathe in
the unexpected
deer crossing
alternate route
ahead

Posted by Kathleen Wilson on 12/05/07 at 08:19 AM "golden arrow" so enlightened... and the "hands gripping" poem centered toward "the unexpected" "deer crossing"s of life... fascinating road map and your little afterthoughts have become a signature!

Posted by David Garner on 12/05/07 at 03:34 PM I took a beautiful drive through your words. Thank you.
Posted by Glenn Currier on 12/06/07 at 05:32 AM Oh, what a cool idea, to write a poem about being in traffic. This is great. It is mostly an empty experience for me... guess I am not a good Buddhist... but never claimed to be. Thanks, my dear.
