Contemplating the Beauty of Your Smile

by Joe Cramer

Contemplating the beauty of your smile

My muse touches me in so many ways.

Longing to see again, after awhile,

Loathe to remiss, excellent on this day.

Soft lips unfurl, lips to kiss into verse.

The eternal perusal of this life.

Lips brush against mine, if to rehearse

The reasons for all, no remorse, no strife.

In your smile is all seen, and thusly shared,

Bringing richness to living, joy to mind.

Your lips parting, a beauty uncompared

To taste a liquor, raw and unrefined.

From such a sweet nectar my heart doth swell.

In the shadow of your smile I now dwell.

I've been enjoying your latest posted older poems. Lovely phrases about lips in this one, brushing, parting, smiling.
