Attempting by Kate DemereeBack we go…
Music, of the heart and soul,
The words matter not,
Meaning is felt not spoken
Can I capture the long ago,
Is the peace still there,
Where I can find the words
The wonder…
Close my eyes, let my fingers speak
Drink deep of the spirit
Flute sounds come to my ears
Inside there is laugher,
Mixed with tears…
Smile plays with the corners of my mouth
Words play at the edge of conciousness…
Can I pen what I feel,
Can I look deep within,
Have I courage enough…to face…
Joy… sadness… fear….
Where the flames dance on water
There I will find me,
There will I see….
Love grows, deep, strong
Song claims emotions
Once voiced in word,
Light and life grow
Beside the dark and grief
Day and night side by side
I am a bird,
I glide free…
Always called home,
And I spread my wings…
Wind lifts
Clouds airy things
Cut clean by feathered wings
Home is where you are my love
Strong, sure…
Safe harbor…
I am a ship
Tiny, in the vast sea
True charted is the course
A masters hand guides
Between the waves
Aching inside… for those who never see,
The road is not long,
The journey is not hard
Fear is a ghost
Long ago dead
Whispering 09/10/2007 Author's Note: I am wondering if this will post in the script I chose, nothing has so far *laugh*. It is posting though, not sure even if this is understandable, but that has never stopped me before *grin*

Posted by A. Paige White on 09/13/07 at 06:09 PM It was like riding the swells of the ocean. The crests and troughs were almost palpable. Glad you didn't let your wondering if it's understandable, stop you this time either. *grins back atcha* |

Posted by Philip F De Pinto on 09/16/07 at 10:09 AM you said it yourself Kate. meaning is felt not spoken and what a reader feels in the poem is what matters beyond what the words are actually attempting to mean. |
Posted by Thomas K. Hunt on 10/26/07 at 03:10 AM It's clear this is from deep within your mind and heart...excellent read |
