Flowers on the window shade by Danielle ErnstI've keep each bloom you've given me
Each rose and baby's breath
All hanging from the window shade
Still precious in their death
Each petal holds a memory
As they once held the dew
A caring word, a sparkling kiss
a simple "I love you"
No golden rings or darling pearls
can move me in the way
As a flower from my window shade
And what it has to say. 08/26/2007 Author's Note: I love being in love ^_^

Keep up the good work |
| Posted by Genevieve Sturrock on 08/31/07 at 07:08 PM i kept all the roses my hubby gave me prior to getting married. the flower girl used them at our wedding. i have a little bowl full of dried, faded, discolored rose petals....but i still see them plump, vivid and sweet smelling. ain't love grand? |
| Posted by Kristina Woodhill on 09/01/07 at 01:36 AM This is such a joy to read aloud and the sentiment has a purity to it that is refreshing, and I do love dried flowers. |
