You surely do get to the heart of the matter cogently and briefly.

I love it, Jadi. I think that "quirk of nature" is a wink by the super nature that we are invited to share. Reading Maria's comment about Maureen, I didn't know her as well as I'd have liked to. I just know she commented on one of my poems and three days later it was chosen as POTD. I feel so sure she had something to do with that and I hope maybe the Lord has shown her just how much that meant to an insecure writer like me, how very much I appreciated it.

A fascinating poetic statement, has the feel of an aphorism. The "moment of truth" being a crucial moment, a critical or decisive time in life, upon which much depends-- then the fact that there is a reprieve, or transformation at that moment-- that is cause for notice. That nature, in its intricate turns and unfoldings might make here just the appropriate turn-- this unaided by our intervention-- truly inspires awe. The one-liner quality of this--and all on one line-- reminds me of haiku written that way, for effect and an ageless quality.

hmmm.. . I will need to ponder this... lol

the miracle is a new-born's breath... and an old man's passing breath into... what? ... Hmmmm, the quandry of nature... Luv it!

concise philosphy eloquently voiced...smh

then i shall opine for quirks of nature..

Maybe not poetry, but it is something for those who don't believe in miracles to consider. It's strange that those who think that only bad luck exists can't see the other side of life. Excellent philosophy.

I love this, have always loved it, will always love it. And now... I love it even more! Because as it appears as potd it seems that it has made its own miracle-- of the space of silence, a gap, the pause before speech in the format-- well, "a quirk of nature" in the form of column spacing...yes! Beautiful self realizing potd!!

So true jadi, we each must know in our heart that all things are possible. We couldn't conceive of a miracle if none had ever happened. Conrgats here.

This one sentence really speaks to me in an early morning moment, fractionally inverted on a day's search of truth. Congrats on potd!

Succinctness in one line is good... congrats on POTD!!!

*m.angelina

sidenotes: this morning on waking my world was snowfilled and the tree outside my window conceded it's naked branches to be brushed with feathered celestial flakes, and I thought of the affinity this had with the onelinedness of Jadi's miracles, precious naked truth on pure white space, conceded to POTD praise ... *m.a

Your wisdom amazes and delights me, especially when it is so well and perfectly condensed. Thanks for this gem, jadi.
