wanted: divine intervention by Kyle Anne Kishif she could only dream
her cocoon would
unfold like the buds
on the trees, unwrapping
slowly to show
the world a vision
beyond the realm
of beauty.
her eyes would
sprout flowers
with a spark
of golden rod
around the centers
and a slice of good luck
thrown in for spice.
if she could only dream
her mouth would
be lined with rubies
creating a spontaneous
smile, capable
of shining the tarnish
off any silver platter
within a 100 mile radius.
her brain would
mirror both her inside
self and outside self
within every being
of her body, so the flow
and ebb of time would never
grip her like a harness.
if she could only
.... dream ....

Just beautiful, Kyle Ann. I love the imagery in this piece. Especially the first stanza. Magic, honestly. -Kat :) |

Posted by Quentin S Clingerman on 05/15/07 at 02:03 AM Seems she is doing just that! You've caught so well the spirit of "flight of fancy", wishful thinking, perhaps even unrealistic expectations. |
