word

by Kristina Woodhill

from there
to hear
the waves
approach
my point
i catch
the drift
of sound
it curls
within
my ear
and touches
cords that
tense or
tickle
fancies
held
i claim
the know
and this
suspends
what if
and
sadly puts
to rest
a dozen
possibilities
before
the echoes
fade

Nice style, as always. I really liked the voice in this.

great rhythm and flow, i agree, the scene and meaning aren't too far behind. ~JPP

Associations...the perceptual process does have its limitations, although these surface in the context of an incredible swell. Poignant perhaps, but no regrets...I have an intimate admiration for your ability to turn language into poetry.

Worthy fusion of style and message...I like the mood this puts me in!
