Dog Song

by Kristina Woodhill

Let me be
that head
with tongue
in opened mouth
that drools
and parts the smile
so doggone long
eyes streaming
I
watch
the world whiz by
at human miles
an hour
and
I
the only head
allowed
outside
the window
opened wide
I
touch taste
with tongue
a hangin'
like a pink flag
wettly flappin'
sopping up
the wind
the world
the wow!
I
live
here in
this now
and add my
boisterous
bowowow!
I
add my
bowowow!

Oh yes! Your tongue shaped "song" is wonderfully expressive and captures the doggone moment of excitement perfectly!

My wife loved this piece as she is such a dog lover. It is so lyrical and pleasant to read. Another good one Kristina!

Kristina! I loved this. Sounds like one happy pooch. What a beat it has to it. I can see this dog wiggling around, wagging his tail, with one happy gring on his face. I love cats, but am equally in love with dogs.

Super tongue I'd say! Neat poem, totally different and unexpected, and as Martha Stewart would say, "that's a good thing."
