cold is cold is cold
by Kyle Anne Kish
i’m under my bedcovers
snug as can be
but when my feet
hit the floor
my goose bumps
the power went out
in the middle
of the night
in my bed
fighting this plight.
and all i can think is:
Romeo, oh Romeo,
please do not show
up on my balcony
Author's Note: Yes, my power went out in the middle of the night.

*raucous applause* This is an excellent write, K.A. - after all, the secret to good comedy is the timing!

I love the ending. It's the perfect witty exclamation point to this poem.
