binds of my being

by Kyle Anne Kish

o’er the books
under the windowsill
beneath dusty jackets and glue
... binds the tie of my being
yes, the books you are seeing
keep me filled like amish stew
.

Love this! My stew has chunks of C.S. Lewis, Corrie Ten Boom, Patsy Clairmont, Elizabeth Barrett Browning, William Wordsworth, Edna St. Vincent Millay, Dorothy Parker... it's quite a smorgasbord (g?)heheeee, (obviously my stew is not alphabet)
