by Soulo Jacob Bourgeau

you offered me love and rockets
but left me love and debris
a radical love agnostic
planting heart shaped IEDs

Like Lori, lol, again, radical love agnostic is awesome wording. It resonates had to read it several more times to savour it. Great stuff. But, what is IED?

Yikes - explosive, man!!

I really enjoyed reading this. The title really drew me in (name of one of my fav bands). You start with a feeling of dynamic love.. then to the true reality, of how a similar feeling can leave someone in the ashes.

"radical love agnostic" that is a great line.

Great poem. And I think the IEDS are some kind of explosive device, like Inter (or Intra) Explosive Devices - yeah, blowing up the heart - that's the "love and debris" from someone who believes in love but not the power of it - "agnostic." Totally cool, Soulo. I've run into a few of them before.

Excellent expression and application of modern military concepts on the battlefield of romance. A suggestion if I may, change the second 'love' to 'apathy,' and drop the third 'love' and see what you think. There's greater strength in non-repetition especially in short pieces such as this. :o)

Love can be explosive then you have to deal with the fall out. Great Poem. Congrats on POTD well deserved.
