The Claw

by Keith D Allison

Being the oldest now

I must bring

the claw…

To holiday events

it must be

properly display

with the chanting of words

I assure you, it will clear the room

of women and children alike

for all in the family

have known the dratted claw

To hear the movement of feet

one must begin to chant

sloooowly I turn

step by step

inch by inch

with the slightest movement

they begin to run

But there is one

who will not flee

for she

will hug my knee

with excitement and glee

she will scream…

Grandpa, grandpa

tickle me

Really like how you've put a new family face on a very ticklish subject. Well done Keith!
