A new born child

by Tony Young

I trust in you
as that of
a new born child

My words are
my commitment
to help those
you leave behind

My heart
is dependant
but strong

For it’s you I long
goodbye my friend
to heaven
a new born child

As it should be, and the way I believe also. Well stated!

Nicely put together. I like how this comes out.

"My words are my commitment to help those you leave behind" Wouldn't it be great if everyone felt this way? Enjoyed this, Tony. Thanks.

This one really got to me. I liked your conviction to help those left behind. I could feel your pain in your loss. Well written, sad, but at the same time, filled with hope.

An interesting use of the phrase "a new born child", particularly at the end. I admire your resolve at helping those left behind - there is an acceptance of a lost friend felt here, even with the longing left behind. Nicely done.

Uniquely and lovingly expressed sorrow. Sadness but with great hope.
