Beyond Reason

by Razel Davies

My way forward,
is not my way back.
Hold this on,
call the crows.
Ravens black and cold,
doves white and warm,
peace.
But,
how can life be,
this simple when,
it is so complex?
The dove pecks out,
our eyes,
so that we don't see,
it's shedding of,
it's white smile.
The raven,
picking up your smile,
turns up your heart.
We know nothing of,
this world we live.

Hold that night,
the darkest beauty,
mists, greys, dark,
society's ugly,
our handsome.
Loves greatest hope,
people's eyes open,
to see happiness here,
light in dark,
pleasure in pain,
suffer for me, my love,
Hell for Heaven,
beyond reason, is love.

This is very beautiful Razel. I love the contrasts used here. Good is sometimes evil and things are not what we think they should be; they are the opposite. Welcome Back! I couldn't be happier that you're here!

"Hold that night, the darkest beauty, mists, greys, dark, society's ugly, our handsome. Loves greatest hope,..." Such a stimulating bit of ups and downs, Razel. My brain actually fluctuated back and forth, round and round, up and down. Your contrasts are true to form and your poem teaches a lesson which is oh so true. Beautifully done! ~~ Kyle Anne

Welcome back to Pathetic Razel. The contrasts in your poem flow like water through rocky layers, each taking the reader to a new (and maybe higher) level.
