The World We Live In – 2

by Ashok Sharda

The world is an assumption
And so is its basic conception
Be it mechanistic
Holistic or the relativistic

Do I long for the knowing
Or for the pleasure
The so called BLISS?

The BLISS is an assumption
Be it within
Be it without

Do I long for the knowing
Or for the pleasure
The so called BLISS?

Can any conception ever cross
The boundary of assumption?

This makes my mind churn in thought. I want to dissect it, lay it on the table to SEE it. Give me time - I'll respond at a later date.

A worthy observation my friend, in how we all seek the BLISS in our lives here on Earch, and hopefully, eternally, in the world to come.

Ahh, you say it so eloquently! The world is assumed which is indeed a reflection of its conception. Assumptions stem from conceptions I think! Anyway, for me the bliss comes from knowing the Source of the conception!

Ah, Ashok, you set my western mind reeling in the whirlpool of its linear conceptions, my feel attached to the mire of my American assumptions, but not now quite as planted there as before. You have at least momentarily thrust me out-observer of my mind. You provoker you. I must say, however that on these pages I regularly witness poets who cross the boundaries of their own assumptions-- even if accidently -- in the troes of their creative impulse.

Your writing always makes me have to use my mind to think about what you are saying. It's ALWAYS worth the time and effort!

I like "illusion" as my way around the assumptions. Whatever we experience here, it is but an illusion, a dream. And yet tangible. I am just happy that I no longer need to experience all that is not in order to know all that is! It is enough that I KNOW about sadness, isn't it? Ashok, you are a beautifully differentiated, individuated reflection of so many wonderous experiences! I am so honored that we have realized ourselves in this moment together.

"Can any conception ever cross/The boundary of assumption?" Probably not, but it sure is fun conceivin' and assumin'! Well, until someone gets hurt. Anyway, I like the way you think and write.
