The answer is in the question by Laura DoomI have a question.
I ask, not because I need the answer...
it's not about information or disinformation,
knowledge or ignorance,
truth or lie.
What I need is your response.
You will tell me either what you want me to hear,
or what you believe I want to hear.
I will hear either what I want to hear,
or what I believe you don't want me to hear.
Is it always this way between lovers?
That's not the question,
although it is an answer to my question.
And I know that you know my question.
So, the question is - why do I need to ask?

Posted by Philip F De Pinto on 12/22/07 at 11:59 AM I think if we did not ask questions,
and neither sought responses to our questions,
they would, whomever they are, snatch us from our doldrums and affix us to storefronts windows,
to serve the wide viewing public as mannequins that set no particular fashion trends. if the question is not one of a curious nature and rather, it is to hurt or to wound, I believe the answer to be either the salve or the salt in the wound. |
