Dust and Wait
by Mary Ellen Smith
Eludes the vacuum cleaner hose
Bringing allergens to the nose.
Evidenced by all the sneezing
Coughing, crying, sighing, wheezing.
I dust it up with mops and such
But darn it all its just too much!
So, from dawn to dusk I fight the fight
And sleep on it all through the night.
Invisible mites that I cant see
And the dust bunnies wherere they be.
Someday I know all will be clean
For dust and dirt will not be seen.
But till I walk through Heavens gate
Guess Ill just have to dust and wait.
