jolly

by Peter Humphreys

jinking
jangling
jolly
jackal
hunting
happy
hairy
hog
taking
time
to
turn
funny
friendly
foe
forthcoming
jolly
jackal
jolly
slow
o
no
jackal
jumping
madly
escaping
every
elephantsÂ’
toe
happy
hairy
hog
is
laughing
hunter
gone
so
peace
returns
jackal
jolly
lucky
jackal
is
at
home
relaxing
eating
jam
and
spotty
scones
and
not
that
happy
hairy
hog
thank
god

I love reading this aloud and giving it odd line breaks, and of course, I love jackals. :) Refreshing to read something jolly and happy.

Peter, this is fantastic! Yes, it must be read outloud for a wonderful laugh. This has my vote for POTD! Yes...

Great fun for kids of all ages Peter. You seem to have cornered the market on these one word per line poems that make for smooth evocative reading. Kudos!
