I almost jumped in feet first for there it was.....

by Sandy M. Humphrey

....poised precariously on the tip of my toungue
like a cliff diver waiting to jump
from the craggy bluff into the
cold dark choppy waves
of the unknown
sea below
was exactly
the thought I had
been searching for
in the dark recesses of my mind
yet before I had a chance to speak
you cooly turned and walked away leaving me
poised precariously on the brink of enlightenment

LOL! Worthy analogy and use of metaphor Sandy.

Most excellent write! Oh, the quandry of this situation!! Perhaps the realization of the thought to yourself will have more lasting impact to you than this person walking away before it is said??

This one really resonates with me Sandy. In the relationship of things, the inevitable is usually no secret, but higher awareness often sneaks up on us and the most inopportune times and it could be something as simple as an undelivered phrase. Stylish stuff!
