For Becca

by Kate Demeree

"Wonderfully joyous," those are the words,

For thoughts and feelings new to my world.

Something is stirring deep down inside,

Where is my angel? I need a guide

Laughing, and loving, playing each day,

I follow the path, you lead the way...

Your eyes how they sparkle and tell me you, too,

Will build many memories before we are through.

Your brown eyes are laughing, that's nothing new,

Smile little darling, I'm catching you.

Run a bit faster on two tiny feet,

Hurry-up sweetie, it's time to eat.

Lay down becide me, I'll cradle your head,

We'll lie togher on my queen size bed.

I whisper softly, while holding you near,

Thank you sweet Jesus, for sending her here.

Oh my sweet angel, soon you will go,

Children are precious, still they do grow,

Take with you something of me when you do,

I loved you Darling from the moment I knew

Beautiful....need I say more? I could feel the love you have for this tiny being and I can relate. I love each of my children from the moment I knew that they were inside me. Stunning and very touching- warmed my heart to read.

Ah! to have a mom like you. This is an absolute delight in its rhyme and the way it skips across the screen with love and joy. Thanks for the cool splash on the hot summer night.

Ms.Kate, this was absolutely beautiful! Oh, how I miss hearing your spoken word poetry you would read to Becca and I when I used to sleep over. Your writing is so eloquent. An inspiration!

fortune surely smiles on one named Becca, especially when Becca has such a mom as is Kate, and particularly when such a one as is Kate is wielding such a quill as spells, Love sweet Love.
