His Sheet Music

by Mary Ellen Smith

The melody is ever changing but the message is the same

The notes may rearrange, but the songÂ’s in JesusÂ’ name.

For it is He who authors the music of our lives

He that starts the harmony of a love song that survives.

He puts the song into our hearts

That is where His sheet music starts.

HeavenÂ’s symphony in the strings.

The tune thatÂ’s heard in angelÂ’s wings.

His song is in the flowers, the hills and in the trees

Carried round the world by His Holy Spirit breeze.

He keeps us tuned and ready to play we know not where

But always He is with us and fails not to meet us there.

When life seems flat and tuneless and the music seems to fade

Our spirits left unwatered, the thirst of the unprayed.

It just takes one sweet moment, for that drink that stops our thirst

If we will just remember to put our Savior first.

You donÂ’t have to be a musician, a songster or a bard

To join in with the music for He hasnÂ’t made it hard

To follow the composition that He wrote so long ago

You see He wrote it on your heart just so that you would know.

Yes, He puts the song into our hearts

That is where the music starts.

Heavens symphony in the strings.

The tune thatÂ’s heard in angelÂ’s wings.

Mary Ellen ~ this is beautiful. Not only is it beautiful, but very calming ~ a gentle reminder of this great symphony called life. Good thing I know the Composer personally! :)

A beautiful poem, with much truth and wisdom vibrating from its wings.
