Posted by Chris Sorrenti on 02/24/06 at 05:25 PM Yeah, it does sound pretty funny. I've done some strange things behind the wheel, but never drove up trees. There's a first time for everything though! ;o) |

Posted by Bruce W Niedt on 02/25/06 at 08:36 PM Defintely good for a chuckle - conjures up unlikely images. A little story: I wrote a poem called "Reflections on a Diner Haiku", which opens with an epigram that was a message I saw on a marquee board outside a local diner: "A special someone/your favorite booth/the jukebox playing". I though it was a great "found" haiku, until about a year or two later when I met the owner of the diner. It seems the late American haiku poet Nick Virgilio used to hang out there, and the diner owner was inspired to write the message as a haiku and post it outside the diner.... d:-) |
