Saturn's Song

by JD Clay

Deaf ears falling

On the limestone coast

Slivered moon slow dancing

The drench of day

The sword of Ra

Consumes the prime

Ten thousand diluvian lessons

In the blink of an eye

Whispered winds

Bridging Cinque Terre with

A pale blue star in

CapricornÂ’s womb

Its imagery trips through my head and I hear a young Michael York, or perhaps Tim Curry, doing it as a narrative over a wide screen visual production... both fluid and ripe with a unique JD poetic charm (multi-spiritual?) - Bra-vo! - RCat the Jaded

The mixture of mythology and imagery takes me to another place. The spareness of words leaves the mystery still to be solved, if indeed it will. Wow, how I love this.

Mystical, mythical, magical... the imagery takes my breath away.

You've been traveling again you lucky dog. It takes a special artist to reveal indescribable beauty.

Your poem makes me yearn for just a glimpse of the stars you reflect with one eye on history and myth and the other on the heavenly bodies. I enjoy the very subtle sense of movement, ebb and flow. Quite lovely, my grandpoet friend. Thank you.

Ten thousand diluvian lessons blink the eye and the slivered moon slow dances the drench of day in this wonderspace where souls can sip and sing, laugh and tango to the light of Saturn moons till the sunrise calls them home … A space where the limestone coast and the sea of light are one mystic kiss. Oh! never more beautiful a song nor whisperwind more melodious than when bridging the Cinque Terre with the pale blue star in Capricorn’s womb! … I love this poem, Maestro. Each stanza is a sparkling gem and the light of each harmonizes to create this universe where sky meets earth and all is magic … Maybe ‘tis there, nelle Cinque Terre, that dreams are seeded …How it fascinates me that astrologically speaking Saturn be the planet that rules Capricorn … I, being Capricorn have such affinities with Saturn … how could I not love this Song ... lovelight&peace*m.a
