Cartwheel Highway by Chris Sorrenti
all or nothing
nothing or all
what's it going to be girl?
I've shouted that I love you
teetering across your high wire
is this clown face correct in assuming?
all or nothing
nothing or all
where's this circus heading girl?
you know you're the only man-tamer woman enough
to get me handsprings down cartwheel highway
now all I need is that wet kiss command
to have me shooting out of your cannon
all or nothing
nothing or all
when will the spotlight be dimmed girl?
show me yours gladly
and I'll show you mine
till then you can catch me
as master of ceremonies
at your very own Barnum & Bailey's

Posted by Glenn Currier on 10/05/05 at 05:15 AM Fun experimental piece. Meandering in and out of a male-female dynamic. Cool piece. |
Posted by Adrian Calhoun on 10/05/05 at 11:16 AM Great poem Chris. Captures those moments perfectly, even if only a creative piece. Well done! |
Posted by JD Clay on 10/11/05 at 02:09 PM BOOM! Now all that's needed is a giant net, hehe! This is great, Chris, I especially like the coorelation between relationships and the three ring spectacle it quite often becomes.
