Grief by Lacy D PhillipsI shall listen to songs in minor keys
and hide The Prince in the north-facing room
amongst relics that guilt me with their presence.
The excersize bike points an accusing handlebar at my midsection
as I turn away from unfinished knitting and withered houseplants
to a bowl of ice cream and a movie to numb me.
07/19/2005 Author's Note: Ah, the North Room, the depository for all my failures! The Prince here, refers to Harry Potter and The Halfblood Prince.
