invisible victorious infinity.

by Andrew S Adams

the future is no longer infinite-
this great horizon stands slightly closer
and i am staring directly into the sun,
waiting to see who will blink first-
i may go blind before i find out,
but if i never know, that will be enough
to sustain the hope that i might have won

though

the victories i've forged thus far
would be lost in the confusion
and i would be forever
without them

small price to pay
for eternal bliss

even if
the future is no longer infinite.

Andrew, I've read your poem several times and truly like the line "the future is no longer infinite." How fitting.
