Posted by Charlie Morgan on 04/20/05 at 01:30 AM ...chris, ahem, this is rich...love your play on words...and you're Everyman in this one...we all have to do it and i loved being the [are you ready?]...fly on the wall (small chuckle), seeing you do this...i really like the lightness, but daily, momently, etc.-ly-ness of this piece...peace, chaz |
Posted by Quentin S Clingerman on 04/20/05 at 01:48 AM "like shooing flies..." is perfect symbolism for the annoyance of those PC screen popups! "maggots" a much stronger term but likewise very descriptive of the offensive popups. Clever and on target. |
Posted by Kyle Anne Kish on 04/20/05 at 01:58 AM "without thinking I click on the little boxes
in the bottom left corners of the windows" <-- yep, that would be me! What a vivid display of what we go through when the "electronic maggots" show up on our screen. Great wording.

Posted by David R Spellman on 04/20/05 at 01:15 PM Great descriptions of this modern day inconvenience - such a pest as they are. Superb! |
Posted by Rula Shin on 04/20/05 at 02:11 PM OH! Flashback to a few months ago when I virtually destroyed our laptop by innocently hitting a little "no" button because I couldn't find the "x" in the corner...yup, it all went to hell in a handbag haha This is so true Chris, I need to learn how better to use that 'fly' swatter next time ;-)

Posted by Maureen Glaude on 04/20/05 at 08:33 PM neat twist in the title. Yeah, I got some of these the other day. A poem of the times, well done. |

Posted by Carolyn Coville on 04/27/05 at 03:46 AM *chuckles* really like this one chris! clever throughout, from the word choices (of course i liked electronic maggots as well) to the title :) |
