alucinada

by Carolyn Coville

you make me feel like...
a little girl, awed in your presence
before you i am fragile,
more delicate than a butterfly's wing,
my insides shatter when i hear your voice
nevermind when i feel your touch
imaginary lines exist between us;
discreetly i tip toe through each one,
yet you remain out of reach

you are the candy i cannot have before dinner,
even though i know you'll never spoil my appetite.

Truly beautiful in its romantic effect. It seems centuries since I've last felt the same way. Thanks for putting it so eloquently into words Carolyn. Adds to favorites.

Beautiful POTD! Such a light, tender touch to this.
