Floral Decadence by Michele Schottelkorb
i prefer my thorns rosy
thank you very much
if perchance you have a posy
ill bargain with my touch
for the flowers of the world
beckon lusty frivolity
gluttony for flora is
my botanical affinity
give me iris, carnation, rose
give me lilac for my clothes
all the nectars of the world
i want at my beck and call
any time of verdant year
winter, spring, summer, fall
but do remember one small thing
when you visit my bud ring
i like to dance with natures best
and put my neighbors to the test
no vases for this blooming girl
in the nude we love to twirl
our garden ripe upon the vine
come now, join us, have some wine! 02/23/2005 Author's Note: ok, sarah said the topic was flowers... so here you go... anyone for skinny dipping in the arboretum? LOL

Posted by Chris Sorrenti on 02/25/05 at 12:59 AM Decadent indeed...but in a totally positive way. Adds to favorites. |
Posted by Philip F De Pinto on 02/25/05 at 02:02 PM I'm all for skinny dipping, even for those who have packed on some pounds on that skinny and would displace the ocean. I dig your rhythm and rhymes Michele. |
Posted by Anita Mac on 02/25/05 at 05:36 PM This is cute, full of energy. Not usually a fan of rhyme, but it really fits here. |
Posted by Maryellen Lebeda-Parra on 02/27/05 at 04:17 PM yes ... this does strike a possitive chord in me |
Posted by David R Spellman on 02/27/05 at 11:31 PM Not so decadent, I think, to revel in nature's beauties. But de-flowering, now that could possibly be... Wonderful work here Michele! |
Posted by Maureen Glaude on 02/28/05 at 06:39 PM I happen to love irises, carnations, and roses too, and recently chose them for an arrangement. I love the spritely fairy-like mischief to this piece |
Posted by Max Bouillet on 12/04/05 at 05:38 PM What a tasty salad bar we have here! ;) Great read filled with frivolity and floral decadence. A Garden of Eden for libertines! :) |
