I Walk In Circles by Ashok Sharda
I walk in circles
Commencing from a point
I eventually return to, pointless
I start with the resolve of a ‘do’
Proceeding from ‘do’ to ‘re’ and from ‘re’ to ‘mi’, unhindered
Its here, where the drop is, between ‘mi’ and ‘fa’
My mood drops
The ‘mi’ looks unresolved
And in walk my unintended selves
Who shall rejoice this recede
And glide me back from where I began,
Unhindered
Now, I shall wait for yet another impression
A fresh ‘do’ to make me walk again
Commencing from a point where
I shall eventually return to pointless.
I shall continue to walk in circles.
I need a conscious SHOCK
To fill this gap between ‘mi’ and ‘fa’
To STOP this drop, the retardation
On this evolutionary path.
With the advent of the WILL
Result of repeated conscious SHOCKS
I shall float in rhythm without any deviation
On this pathless path of evolution.

Author's Note: There cannot be any effect without a cause. Present is the ‘effect’ of the ‘cause’, past. As a matter of fact, if there were no past, there wouldn’t be a present. As such, no sooner present turns into past, the ‘effect’ metamorphose into ‘cause’ for yet another effect subject to other LAWS. It is very difficult to walk out of this vicious circle of nature unless one intentionally breaks this chain of cause and effect by providing a CONSCIOUS
SHOCK.

Posted by Quentin S Clingerman on 12/21/04 at 03:07 AM A most fascinating look at the evolutionary path. For me the fact of 'will' in humans suggests something more than evolutinary path, demands it. We are more than our past and present. |
