At Mass

by Uriel Tovar

Broken light, filtered through cold
blue, red, green and gold
Christ splintered on granite floors.

Author's Note: i know haiku is 5/7/5 but since japanese is a syllabic language and english isn't variations can be made to the form at times.

Powerful poem! You really captured the words to display such profound imagery. Loved it :)

Very lovely. I love stained glass so the imagery is very pleasing to me. Calm and stoic, with spirituality added. Very nice.

I like this...easy to visualize...sunlight filtered through stained glass. Well done.

Yes, a great visual--I can feel what we see.
