Hooray for globalization and nice linens

by Kara Hayostek

Now I lay me down to sleep
On 500 thread count cotton sheets

And if I die before I wake
Someone ought to send my thanks

To those darling kids in Timbuktu
Who kindly made the bedspread too.

Witty and subtle commentary on "sweat shops" Kara. Well done in its brevity.

Sad, I hope I haven't bought anything before that was made in a sweatshop...somehow i have a feeling it's almost impossible I didn't. Great write Kara :-)

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! I'm dyin' over here. Sardonic poetry, Kara. Your brilliant wit and humorous poem has certainly left me with a big broad grin. Coincidentally 'sardonic' is a high grade linen made at Colchis, also know as the Land of the Golden Fleece. Pe4ce...
