Imprints by Alicia VannEven gentle steps
in sand leave an imprint.
Sometimes a wave
washes the evidence
away, or a more
significant
imprint is made
that renders yours
invisible.
There is not
enough commotion
born to sand alone
that could make a
difference for it is so
delicate that the wind
can make it dance. 11/05/2004 Posted on 11/06/2004 Copyright © 2024 Alicia Vann

Posted by Kyle Anne Kish on 11/06/04 at 05:21 AM Alicia, this poem flows so smoothly and gracefully. "delicate that the wind
can make it dance." <----- my two favorite lines. Imprints is thoughtfully entwined with more than vivid imagery ... it has a double edge and a writer's finesse. This one's going in my favorites. ~~ Kyle Anne
