Imprints

by Alicia Vann

Even gentle steps
in sand leave an imprint.
Sometimes a wave
washes the evidence
away, or a more
significant
imprint is made
that renders yours
invisible.
There is not
enough commotion
born to sand alone
that could make a
difference for it is so
delicate that the wind
can make it dance.

Alicia, this poem flows so smoothly and gracefully. "delicate that the wind can make it dance." <----- my two favorite lines. Imprints is thoughtfully entwined with more than vivid imagery ... it has a double edge and a writer's finesse. This one's going in my favorites. ~~ Kyle Anne

Thought provoking piece Alicia; nicely extends to humanity...life itself. Congrats on POTD!
