Posted by Kara Hayostek on 07/30/04 at 04:41 AM I really liked this line.
"Is isolation the final frontier?
a senseless personal space untouched by humanity"
though I certainly jope thats not true. Interesting poem, and i really liked the background...some of those stars actually twinkle. Amazing.

Posted by Michele Schottelkorb on 07/31/04 at 04:22 PM incredible piece of work... an age old question, put eloquentely here... layout is beautiful and your form gives the poem a perfect edge... brilliant... blessings... |
Posted by Ashok Sharda on 07/31/04 at 05:06 PM I see a conflict between selves having paradoxical associations. This conflict is inevitable and understandable in the wake of the intentions of the intending self, how ever lonely one is, its battle between BEING and nothingness. |
Posted by Chris Sorrenti on 08/12/04 at 02:02 AM Thought provoking question poem Laura that applies to all us mortals. Well done! Love the combination of word choreography and background. |

Posted by Susan Q Tomas on 09/17/04 at 02:14 AM "Suffocating symbiosis", I never thought of stars that way. And "is there life before death?" It depends on your definition of life. |
Posted by Ava Blu on 04/04/11 at 03:22 AM Yeah, this is brilliant as well. |
Posted by Sandy M. Humphrey on 04/04/11 at 09:37 PM This poem is art, beautiful to look at and a paradox as well...anwers are left to the readers view of life and/or death thus thought provoking. Well done. smh |
Posted by Kristina Woodhill on 04/05/11 at 02:37 AM I had not seen this one before. I like the forest of stars and the cosmic questions asked here. Delightfully effective visual. |
Posted by Clara Mae Gregory on 04/06/11 at 07:24 PM This is one of my many favorites of your work.I am so glad to see it revived! |
Posted by Elizabeth Jill on 04/08/11 at 11:06 PM It's fitting in here how disappear turns into isappear (is appear!) and sifts out outside the box. Your metaphysical mind wraps and unwraps me... especially this month, Miss Doom. |
Posted by Chris Sorrenti on 04/09/11 at 09:16 PM Glad to revisit this Laura. On second glanse, breathtaking in its combination of stars and words. Is there life before death? One can't help but admire the way you've reversed this question.
