from the Earth by Michele SchottelkorbShe calls to me
on the windwave of a dream
whistling through frozen memories
my calling realized
into the glen
my bare feet tread softly
whilst kaleidoscope eyes
guide a destined course
we are from the Earth
Sea, Sky and Stars
folding Essence gently
with the ebb and tide of being
oh, come to me
melt Deity with Human form
gaze upon the round of Luna
envelope the Night with an embrace
etch Phoenix flames upon Sols visage
see through emblazoned portals
arms raised to dayrays
soaking up Natures gift
from the Earth
we are Born; we Live; we Return
to the Summerlands we frolic
until we are Reborn

Posted by Alison McKenzie on 07/02/04 at 07:34 AM This leaves me breathless....irridescent vapors trailing after the beauty of what you've written, like a fragrance lingering after the scroll down beyond the words. You transport me. |
Posted by Michelle Angelini on 07/02/04 at 07:49 AM So soothing and beautiful. I love poems about nature and our relationship to it. Good work. It leaves me with a sense of belonging. |
Posted by Philip F De Pinto on 07/02/04 at 11:00 AM such subtle whisperings into the void. Such prayers to the ode god as have not been heard since times forlorn. |
