"They Sound like the Beatles," she said

by Maureen Glaude

the tension broken
smiling over audio clips
of the poetry reading in England
mother and daughter
together again

You never know what will happen after the silence breaks. It might be good or it might be bad, but we have a compulsion to break no matter the risk. I think we need to share with each other and that's why we keep chancing the breaking of the silence. Great work that got me thinking. Crossing generation gaps are never easy.

the world is a better place for having the Beatles heard and this poem seen, as it speas to eyes and if I were to pick a favorite Beatle song, it would be an early one, This Boy.

You've got to see (and hear) McCartney's Back in The U.S. DVD. One of the best Beatles related purchases I've ever made.

Hmm... We don't ALL have Liverpool accents you know! (and some days I can tell a Canadian accent from a US one...) Oh well...

Good Morning Maureen. This poem is beautiful in it's simplicity and message of reconciliation. Nice!!
