Nervous Breakdown (Haiku)

by Madeline Pestolesi

This is where I crack
Nerves, stacked so neatly, crumble
Shattered on the floor.

Really like the descriptiveness of this; sounds pretty accurate! :o)

under today's stresses, we can all wonder at times if we'll fall over that edge. Important message.

madeline, congrats on POTD. i like what you've done with this form...haikus are always fun. however, i think with this kind of subject matter, trying to condense it into 17 syllables is too limiting. this is a big topic. maybe you should try fleshing this out in a form with more wiggle room?

thanks for sharing your work!
