rebel without a cause by Michele Schottelkorb
he
stands out
on the sidewalk
in the bad part of town
beating his poetry out
yeah, hes a rebel
without a cause
charming crooked smile
and quick phrases of criticism
but,
is it really worth
the cost?
your accolade about
his scruffy nape
sell
your soul to the devil
i like mine right
where it is

Posted by Chris Sorrenti on 03/27/04 at 07:33 PM Titilating poetic snapshot Michele, though this rebel reads with cause enough. :o) |

Posted by Philip F De Pinto on 02/08/05 at 12:33 PM rebellions; these most misunderstood words, need no cause, and if James Dean was alive today, I think he would agree; but one is irked by no other reason than that your eye itches and so you scratch it, merely for effects of relief, needing no one's permission to do it, but your own. |
