Tiny World of Ours by Rula ShinI walk the path
from inside my room
to the inside of yours
We meet
face to face
in this tiny world of OURS
We open our minds
ever growing together
in this never-ending story

Posted by Ashok Sharda on 03/16/04 at 05:16 PM This sounds like a world inside a world. A very private world inside a common world we all share. The pathless path to this room seems to be from inside of the insides, where you know and meet someone in the process of knowing and meeting your self. This process of growing is unending and ever growing. And when the minds are close, this becomes an unending story of love, understanding and growth. You have presented this beautiful story in such a simple form and with distinct clarity. I wish you all the best. |
Posted by Michele Schottelkorb on 03/17/04 at 05:50 AM ah, to learn from all the wonder of this world, is to be golden... this is a perfect simple tiny little poem that speaks volumes... excellent insight... blessings... (and, by the way, i know of this room... it is very comfy :)... LOL) |
Posted by Mara Meade on 03/18/04 at 03:32 PM To me, his captures the "essence" of the self, and how that same essence can be found in others. A tiny little world, indeed. Beautiful, Rula. |

Posted by Alex Smyth on 05/20/04 at 11:42 PM Rula, this is most excellent, it takes the reader to the cusp of the idea, but there the poet stops and says, "Now the thought is yours to step into and explore." Very, very beautiful and skillful!

I think that's one of the best, if not the best poem I read in here. Recently, I amhaving the feeling there is no such a place, and that's it's only one space in our place as ONE person. but this little of poem brings some hope :o) |
Posted by Philip F De Pinto on 04/29/05 at 03:03 PM I think the story has ended which ironically was ne'er begun, or perhaps a private utterance resounded once o'er a chasm spreading rumors of the present, and we still singing praises to that word and it's ne'er ending reverberation. |
Posted by Elizabeth Jill on 04/19/06 at 04:32 PM A most beautiful JOY - to know an other in this tiny OURS world! How completely wondrous "growing together is! I love the way you left footprints in this poem!
