reality bites by Michele Schottelkorb
Xanax can cure it
(I should know)
why face reality when Prince Valium is waiting?
night after night
the moon sets on this temporary cocoon
restless sleep
prescribes nightmares
coloured black and blue
abuse comes in many forms
~as does neglect
your duties are gathering dust
and fading quietly away

Posted by Chris Sorrenti on 03/17/04 at 05:56 PM Love how the text aptly treats the title. Neat expression throughout this. I'll stick to my Lorazapam thank you very much. :o) |
Posted by Philip F De Pinto on 03/02/05 at 05:03 PM reality bites us in places, where fiction dare not thread; even in places where we the bitten, were not aware we had such places to bite and yet I have not blinked Michele but saw this biting beauty of a poem to its bittersweet conclusion. |
Posted by Max Bouillet on 07/01/05 at 01:57 PM Disconnected and drifting... flowing, missing that which is around you trapped in a chemical dream. Nice on occasion --but too much keeps you from those you care for. Great read with introspection. :) |
