mind and moonshine by Michele Schottelkorbferry me down
to the gutter
and taste of
vampyric moonshine
{itll only hurt for a lifetime}
in solid brassknuckle strife
the clown head bobs in tune
laugh if you want to
scoff that riddle grin right into oblivion
(and down your rancid throat)
the time is coming
coming for you
drink me down
beneath the waves
articulate daydreams
ravage clueless hearts
{scarcely tiptoeing the fine line}
you said wed live forever
in the message of a dream
but nothing lives forever
ash rain pelts the windowpane of life
in the portal of our minds
time is coming its coming for you03/12/2004 Posted on 03/12/2004 Copyright © 2025 Michele Schottelkorb

Posted by Richard Trotter on 03/13/04 at 12:11 AM an entertaining read..I like how you build a sense o foreboding with the "time is coming" line and the foot step-like flow. the imagery is attractively dark and builds up like the gloom of a storm. |
