to dream... by Michele Schottelkorbresuscitate your soul
on the wish of a vision
to close ones eyes
and reflect into the darkness
within the realm of introspection
reaps rewards impossible to measure
to glean faith from a raindrop
turn ash into rebirth
and fly on the wings of a prayer
{the stars cry for the forgotten
~on Natures breath a song hums}
to meet destiny with a clean heart
brandish metal upon evil
and dismantle a fable of failure
ah, to only see what should be
to feel what can be
to know what is and will be
to dream

Posted by Ashok Sharda on 03/06/04 at 01:54 PM Looks like a metaphysical dream. To see what is/ to feel and sense what is/ to know what is / to let what is determine as to what should be.There's a suggestion for you here. |
Posted by Richard Trotter on 03/08/04 at 01:15 PM wonderful poem.. I also like the "to glean faith from a raindrop" line because it illustrates hwo dreams can grow from nothing, for good or ill. |
Posted by Chris Sorrenti on 03/08/04 at 02:20 PM You've truly got something here Michele in this stanza: to glean faith from a raindrop turn ash into rebirth and fly on the wings of a prayer
{the stars cry for the forgotten ~on Natures breath a song hums} To me these lines are the entire poem; everything else is just window dressing.

Posted by Sarah Graves on 04/25/04 at 07:48 PM This peice resonates very universal questions, but put in a very original form of your own. I wish everyday that we would be able to see truth unmasked, and know the true reasons to our dreams. Maybe someday we'll all know, for now though, all we can do is keep dreaming and try to meet up with fate occassionally. |
