to dream...

by Michele Schottelkorb

resuscitate your soul

on the wish of a vision

to close oneÂ’s eyes

and reflect into the darkness

within the realm of introspection

reaps rewards impossible to measure

to glean faith from a raindrop

turn ash into rebirth

and fly on the wings of a prayer

{the stars cry for the forgotten

~on NatureÂ’s breath a song hums}

to meet destiny with a clean heart

brandish metal upon evil

and dismantle a fable of failure

ah, to only see what should be

to feel what can be

to know what is and will be

to dreamÂ…

your pen retains its creative spark and universes of hope emerge brilliant with lights.

Looks like a metaphysical dream. To see what is/ to feel and sense what is/ to know what is / to let what is determine as to what should be.There's a suggestion for you here.

wonderful poem.. I also like the "to glean faith from a raindrop" line because it illustrates hwo dreams can grow from nothing, for good or ill.

You've truly got something here Michele in this stanza: to glean faith from a raindrop turn ash into rebirth and fly on the wings of a prayer {the stars cry for the forgotten ~on Nature’s breath a song hums} To me these lines are the entire poem; everything else is just window dressing.

Vivid and drenched with wisdom. This is a wonderful verse that speaks to the reader on more than one level. Great read.

This peice resonates very universal questions, but put in a very original form of your own. I wish everyday that we would be able to see truth unmasked, and know the true reasons to our dreams. Maybe someday we'll all know, for now though, all we can do is keep dreaming and try to meet up with fate occassionally.
