Melancholy Muse .:I lost:.

by Cathlyn Cartier

Lonely again,
Only this time by choice,
Sometimes the stakes are too high.
Taking a chance on love...

I gambled and lost.

...but you took the risk, that's strong. Life, nor love comes with guarantees...only way to find happiness is living it *hug*

I'm debating now whether or not the gamble is worth it. LOL I used to always think so, but the pain of losing is deep, huh? Good stuff (acrostic at that). :)

Succinct and pointed with a littel poignancy.

This is so sad... very strong imagery, but sad. Thanks for sharing.

The feelings come through with the determination to be Self. Well done, Cathlyn.
