dust swamp by Glenn Currierthe curly dust swamp
bred and fed by four years of benign neglect
deserves one more day
to incubate the next generation
before I vacuum
to make a clean space
for the new computer. 01/07/2004 Author's Note: Just a fun reflection as I put off this dreaded task for yet another day... thank God they have taken 8 (so far) business days to assemble my Christmas gift... maybe it was the 8x dvd burner that did it.

Posted by Maureen Glaude on 01/08/04 at 02:03 PM oh, the energy of these Christmas gifts and what they can stir up! I needed to tidy my office here for the new chair they bought me, better for the back at the computer apparently! It was sweet of them, and it got me cleaning! I loved this poem, the imagination! and it makes me feel better for my dust swamps. |
Posted by JD Clay on 01/11/04 at 01:06 PM My advise, potatoes, plant early. They're low maintenance and store well, hehehe! I'm with you on this one, Glenn. I'm thinking about getting a maid but I can't find one that will stay out of my chocolate.

Posted by Chris Sorrenti on 01/12/04 at 05:41 PM LOL! Reminds me of how I had no choice but to finally dust and vacuum my place on Saturday. When you have to fight with the dust bunnies for a place to sit down, you know you're in trouble. :o) |
