I am angry that I am angry.

by Ashok Sharda

I am angry that I am angry.

A while ago

I was angry.

Then, I was angry

that I was angry.

And now

I am angry

that I was angry that I was angry.

I have resolved, friends

to not to

be angry again.

SO much anger is seems to grow exponentially. Yes I would avoid it to.. We all should as your fine verse points out. --bf

a sound resolution to nip anger in the bud, once it's gone so far as to turn against your self ultimately. nice round n round piece.

when you can manage your anger, its not as bad when your anger manages you. A little Sharda-nian philosophy there.

it seems a vicious self-defeating circle, anger, right? they tell me there is constructive, positive anger, that causes improvement and change, but anger is usually a bone of contention to me. Brilliant work.

Much to think about here. I've always said that anger is okay - its what you DO with it that matters. In the doing, not the feeling, I have many regrets, but those regrets do bring lessons and resolve to understand.

profound and aptly stated... i am not surprised... i learn from you, your lessons are global... thank you... blessings...

What a vicious cycle we find ourselves in... the hazards of being human. Good luck with your resolve, my friend. But avoid anger with your precious Self if you once again get tangled in that knotty net.

I say this to myself all too often that it makes me angry too. Good one Ashok. :o)

LOL!! I'd say frustration being expressed in this one! No more anger--like no more day and night! ;) You've caught a part of the human condition in humorous lines.

there's certainly a subtle humour to this one Mr Sharda :)...nice & insightful as ever...

Ah, the perpetual dilemma. They have classes for its management now, eh! Good stuff, Ashok. This is an eye opener, Pe4ce...

I know this feeling. It is frustrating to say the least. But to concur with your previous writings, we must ignore the self that causes anger to rule over our true self, no?

Anger is such a negative force, but one that I find myself clinging on to for dear life every once in a while - a false shield of power and strength. It is that temporary surge of energy which sometimes allows me to rise out of self pity & stand tall in defiance. But, I agree with Mara, it is WHAT you do with the anger that matters. The effect passes and I have not reacted with external anger but internal anger...which is, to me, only acceptable in small, short-lived moments. As always, wonderful read Ashok :-)
