- (-) - = +

by Ashok Sharda

- (-) - = +

Negate the negative

With a negation

And you are dead.

To be born again.

garrr...alrighty, nothing like a simple algebraic equation to make one realize yup, it's time to go back to school again. good thing there's english along with it, otherwise it would fly completely over my head. *happy dance* but i did negate a negation once upon a time, i feel much more positive for it so to that i do relate.

one would think, it would = 0. from whence can come +. it's your choice. at 0, it's choice to go to - (return) or + (born again). you are advocating + with your mind tricks ;)

math was never my strong subject, but this is fascinating. Such an equation!

Math was never my favorite either, esp. word problems. But I liked this one.

Nice one Ashok! So based on this logic if 2 wrongs don't make a right we should try three? ;)

Brilliant. All of the words I could even try to think of to explain this are unnecessary. In this succinct poem you said there is to be said. How beautiful that there is redemption!

Now THAT'S what I call thought-provoking. Well done!

how can we birth again what has always been. it seems to me that life's or death's negation is merely the blink of an eye inaffective to the status quo. wonderful mull, Ashok.

brilliant equation from a brilliant man... you've done it again, going and making me think... hahaha... blessings!

ha i stopped studying for my algebra II final to read this! i hate math but i loved this. it has been said over and over but this is absolutely brilliant. that is the only word i can think to describe it.

Enlightenment follows the fall of pride only when the conscious witness notices and chooses + Your poem = +

Thought provoking. Jesus said a kernel of corn in order to live must die. I see something of that concept in your poem.

Damn cool. The equation is true - dying on this side in negatives to exist on the other side as a positive...profound idea made powerful with your humble solution
