damsel in distress

by Michele Schottelkorb

we have reached an area

which requires more

more from you

more from me

more than you will ever see

so I must walk away

and cry for you some other day

I love the way you choose your words carefully and pack your poems with the sharpness of emotion. You reveal the vulnerability of being human.

Resolute and wise. A hard situation in which it would be easy to fall to pieces and yet you maintain and carry on! Great verse.
