the seduction of simplicity... by Indigo Tempestathe seduction of simplicity is most easily accomplished in silence.
i've never been a passive lover. maybe a passive partner; but when i love it's whole: body and mind, lips and legs locked. i'm a furious lover at my deepest recess; and i go now or never but slowly there, slowly slowly yes.
yes is the answer to the slowest question yes is a ball of chicken wire in my chest yes is the car alarm outside my window saying no sleep never sleep no sleep never sleep again. again and again i lose my way in this how long until my way loses me? my mind is going and my chest is frantically growing, only a rubbery membrane holding it back and not so well. 09/23/2003 Posted on 10/16/2003 Copyright © 2025 Indigo Tempesta

Posted by Max Bouillet on 10/25/03 at 11:35 PM Beautifully written... there seems to be two different emotions to this piece. Both of them are powerful and seem to be pulling the reader in almost opposite directions. Even though you mention simplicity, I feel as though this is a very complex piece that deserves more scrutiny. Awesome read that I intend to look into more. |

Posted by Lori Johnson on 01/05/04 at 06:04 PM The title caught me, the poetry kept me. This is a personal favorite, I do believe. I love the car alarm lines, I could just hear the darn thing going off! LOL

Posted by JD Clay on 06/29/07 at 08:03 PM I love your surrender to the grimace, Indi. Smooth, very smooth!
Theres nothing like a good screamer, I say, give it up and let it all hang out.
Congratulations on becoming The Passionate Poet Of The Day.
